The Fastest Radeon RX 6900 XT Custom Variant, The Red Devil Ultimate, Is Ready With A Big Navi 21 XTXH GPU And Up To 2.4 GHz Clocks, According To PowerColor.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate graphics card, which boasts the highest clock speeds ever for the Big Navi GPU, has just been sent to PowerColor's first review units. The PowerColor Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate is a brand new custom graphics card that features a higher-binned Big Navi GPU.

The Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate Graphics Card from PowerColor features up to 2.4 GHz Boost Clocks on the Big Navi 21 XTXH GPU.

Although the PowerColor Radeon RX 6000 Red Devil series was first released last year, it seems that the company has now obtained higher-binned AMD GPUs. The card has the latest Navi 21 XTXH GPU SKU, which is a version of the Big Navi GPU with the largest bin available, according to Overclocking.com. This chip can be used in the Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate, a high-end enthusiast card targeted at overclockers.

The PowerColor Radeon RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate will be fuelled by triple 8-pin connectors and will have the same cooling design as the current Red Devil cards.

In silent mode, the graphics card operates at 2135 MHz Game / 2335 MHz Boost clock with a TDP of 272W, and in OC mode, the card operates at 2235 MHz Game / 2425 MHz Boost clock with a TDP of 303W. The Red Devil Ultimate has the fastest clocked Radeon RX 6900 XT on the market thanks to the overclock BIOS's 2425 MHz Boost clock.

Both previous AMD Radeon RX 6900 XT graphics cards with the Navi 21 XTX GPU were limited to a maximum clock speed of 3.0 GHz. According to Overclocking.com, this cap is still present on the RX 6900 XT Red Devil Ultimate, implying that there is a barrier that cannot be broken, except by serious overclockers who tested the card under LN2.

The card's maximum speed is between 2.65 and 2.70 GHz. PowerColor has supplied Overclocking.com with a completely new BIOS that increased the card's TDP to 330W, allowing it to overclock from 2800 to 2850 MHz, resulting in marginally better 3DMark scores. AMD appears to be shipping the Big Navi 21 XTXH GPU to its partners right now, and we can expect more RX 6900 XT versions from other custom board partners in the future.

In terms of launch and availability, there is currently no news about when the card will reach retail shelves, but considering the present GPU pricing environment, plan to pay a hefty premium north of $2000 US for this card.
